A horse halter (6) has a combination of straps, ropes and hoses (9, 16) looped to form a head harness length-adjustment (7) mechanism for the ropes. The first rope (8) or the second rope (15) pass thru the void in a hose (9, 16) to a subsequent length-adjustment section to form a loop (13) : The loop (13) runs thru a metal ring fitting. The ropes (8, 15) are formed of twisted natural fibers or man-made fibers.

Eine Längenverstellvorrichtung (7) für ein Seil-Geschirr (6) für Tiere weist ein erstes Seil (8) mit einem als Hohlseil ausgebildeten Hohlseilabschnitt (9, 16) auf, wobei das erste Seil (8) oder ein zweites Seil (15) in einem an den Hohlseilabschnitt (9, 16) anschließenden Längenverstellabschnitt (12, 17) eine Schlaufe (13) bildet und durch das Innere des Hohlseilabschnitts (9, 16) hindurch geführt wird. Die Schlaufe (13) ist an einem Verbindungselement, beispielsweise einer Öse (14) gelagert. Das erste Seil (8) und das zweite Seil (15) sind ein Flechtseil aus Kunststofffasern oder Naturfasern. Das Seil-Geschirr (6) ist vorzugsweise ein Pferdehalfter oder dergleichen und weist ein mittels der Längenverstellvorrichtung (7) verstellbares Genickstück (2) und ein ebenfalls verstellbares Kehlstück (3) sowie Backenstücke (4) und ein Nasenstück (5) auf.
