[origin: EP1845506A2] The carrier (10) has a tubular receiving unit (12) for receiving an identification label, where the unit includes respective insertion openings at both ends of the receiving unit for insertion of the identification label. Closing caps (20) are insertable into the insertion openings for closing the receiving unit in a form-fit manner. The caps have respective engaging units (22) for insertion into the insertion openings. The receiving unit is partially made of elastic ductile soft plastic, and the engaging units are made of hard plastic.
