Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006084823A1] The invention relates to a fuel filter that is provided with a coalescer element (20) which is used for improving the elimination of water droplets and is disposed in the immediate feeding zone of the fuel. The inventive fuel filter is characterized by a simple design, the coalescer element comprising an upper end plate (26) which extends to the inner wall of the housing (10), thus sealing the coalescer element as well as the inlet zone and the outer raw liquid zone. The coalescer element (20) and the particulate filter (19) are arranged on a joint separating element (25) which leans on the ascending tube (17) located in the center of the fuel filter via a profiled seal. The end plate of the coalescer element can be produced using a two-component injection molding technique or plastics engineering with a molded-on profiled seal that is made of an elastomeric material.
