[origin: WO2006084839A1] The invention relates to a method for controlling a display and to a corresponding display device. The invention specifically relates to a method for controlling a display device comprising at least one pixel cell (BPZ) whose color can be modified by reversible oxidation or/and reduction by applying a voltage (U) to the pixel cell (BPZ). The inventive method comprises the following steps: a) measuring an internal voltage of the pixel cell (BPZ); b) determining a voltage (U) to be applied externally depending o the measured internal voltage; c) applying the external voltage (U) to the pixel cell. The invention also relates to a display device.
