The longitudinal strip (11) has side walls (12) facing each other and joined by a bottom sector (13). These side walls have a region (14) of reduced thickness along their length. The thickness-reduced region is a particular shaping (15). This is achieved by the use of shaping rollers opposite each other across the longitudinal direction in the reduced thickness region.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein offenes Längsprofil (11) mit in Längserstreckung zueinander ausgerichteten Seitenwänden (12), wobei die Seitenwände (12) entlang ihrer Längserstreckung einen dickenreduzierten Bereich (14) aufweisen. Der dickenreduzierte Bereich (14) ist mit einer Profilierung (15) versehen. Weiter betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines offenen Längsprofils (11).
