Abstract (en)
The connector (1) has a flat shaped sealing element (3) supported by a support part (11) of a plastic or metallic body, where the element is impermeable to liquid, gas and water vapor. The element has opposed elastic protrusions (31, 32) that are laterally projected with respect to the part for arranging receiving spaces or opposed grooves between the protrusions and the body, respectively. The protrusions have bent ends (33, 34) inclined along a same direction, where the protrusions are placed on an edge portion of an outer surfaces of opposed lateral walls of hollow ends (5) a profile. An independent claim is also included for a method of connecting hollow ends of a profile.

Connecteur (1) destiné à raccorder deux extrémités creuses de profilé, comportant un corps (10) et un élément (3) d'étanchéité qui est imperméable aux liquides, aux gaz et à la vapeur d'eau et qui est supporté par une partie (11) du corps (10), caractérisé en ce que l'élément d'étanchéité (3) comporte deux protubérances opposées (31,32) qui font latéralement saillie par rapport à la partie de support (11) de l'élément d'étanchéité de manière à ménager entre ces protubérances et le corps (10) respectivement deux espaces d'accueil (40, 41).
