Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1849913A2] A paper mill has a hollow cylindrical drum (1) with a drive spigot (2) coupled to a drive shaft (3). The spigot has an axial hole (4) in line with the axis of drum rotation an extending the entire spigot length (5-6). The spigot outer end face (5) has a drive flange (7) through which torque is transmitted to the spigot. The drive flange incorporates a tensile anchor (5) that also runs thru the axial hole (4) and is fixed to the spigot end face (6) inside the drum, causing the flange to brake against the spigot external face (5).
