Abstract (en)
System for the control and monitoring of the operation of self-propelled, articulated-boom machines, in particular concrete pumps, comprising a plurality of sensors capable of continuously detecting instant data concerning the geometric conditions of the operating attitude of the machine and the load conditions thereof, as well as a central processing unit which, on the basis of such data and of previously-stored safety parameters, continuously checks for the meeting of one or more critical conditions for machine safety, such as levelling, overturning moment, stability, resonance swinging of the articulated boom. During machine operation, when at least one of said critical conditions is approached beyond a threshold value, the central unit provides to actuate a sound and visual alarm signal and at the same time to activate automatic cycles for the gradual stop of the machine and/or for gradually moving away from said critical condition.
