[origin: EP1849940A2] The lock (1) has a locking arrangement (3) for fixing the open door containing at least a rotary catch (4) positioned on a first pivot axis (5), a blocking pawl (6) positioned on a second pivot axis (7) and movable within a pivoting range with an operating element (8) and an actuating lever (10) connected to the locking element, whereby the actuating lever is at least partly movable separately from the rotary catch and the blocking pawl.. An independent claim is also included for a method of operating a locking arrangement for a lock for a vehicle's sliding door.
