Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102005008893A1] The method for the increasing of drum throughput in rotary kilns entails the introducing of drums and oxygen-containing gas into the combustion chamber (1), the combusting of the drums in the revolving kiln (4), and the diverting of flue gas from the combustion chamber into the afterburner chamber (2) for post-combustion, wherein the combustion progress is continuously recorded by optical measurements in the rotary kiln and referred to as a control variable for a regulating of the combustion conditions in the rotary kiln and afterburner.
