[origin: WO2006120084A2] A refrigerating device has two housing parts (1, 2) joined in a movable manner, namely a carcass (1) and a door (2) which delimit together a heat-insulated inner chamber (3), and a seal (4) which is fastened to the door (2) and, in the closed position of the housing parts (1, 2), lies on a contact surface (5) of the carcass (1) and closes the inner chamber in a substantially air-tight manner, as well as a lifting element (7) for lifting the seal (4) from a contact surface (5) on the carcass (1) in order to permit pressure compensation between the inner chamber (3) and the surroundings of the refrigerating device. The lifting element (7) is at least in part formed by a thermally deformable material; in a first shape, it establishes a sealed contact between the seal (4) and the contact surface (5), and in a second state into which it can be brought under the effect of heat or cold, it lifts the seal (4) from the contact surface (5) in order to ensure pressure compensation.
