Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006086902A1] The invention relates to a bullet (10), optionally covered by a casing, comprising a front-side core (1) and a rear-side core (2). The rear-side core (2) rests in a positive and centered manner against the front-side core (1), and this rear-side core (2) completely fills the entire cylindrical and the truncated conical rear area (2) of the bullet (10). An engaging area (11, 12) is provided on both cores (1, 2) and permits the bullet (10) to be assembled with press fit thus resulting in a flush outer shape (3) of the bullet (10), and the contact surfaces (15; 13; 11 to 12) of the cores (1, 2) directly touch essentially over the entire contact surface (15; 13; 11 to 12) without a distance or gap. When the bullet (10) strikes a surface oriented in any manner with regard to the direction of firing (20), the bullet (10) splits into two harmless bullet parts.
