[origin: WO2006084608A1] The invention relates to a female electrical contact comprising a housing which is cut and folded from a metal strip and which comprises at least one contact plate (2) which extends along the longitudinal axis (A) of the housing and which is equipped with a section (3) that is in contact with a complementary contact pin (4). According to the invention, the contact plate comprises a part (5) for connecting to the housing and a free end. The invention also comprises a spring element (7) which is cut from the extension of the contact plate prior to folding, such as to form a counter plate after folding. The spring element (7) and the plate (2) are provided, for example, on either side of the above-mentioned connection part (5).
