Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1852366A1] The lock (1) has two locking heads (10, 12) pointing in opposite directions and an actuating device (24) with an actuating unit (26). The actuating unit is arranged in an area of a contact section (28) of a housing (16). The actuating unit cooperates with the heads by a drive unit such that a relative adjustment of the section causes rotation of the heads within locking openings from an initial position in a direction along a releasing movement axis, until the head (12) stays in its release position. The section is provided for torque-proof engagement in the openings. An independent claim is also included for a method of loading and unloading freight-containers using locking devices.
