[origin: EP1852390A1] The shut-off component for a container, especially pallet container, includes an operating component (4) for a shut-off element which is movable in a flow passage (2) formed in the housing (1), wherein the housing is manufactured from an electrically non-conductive plastic, and the movable shut-off element is manufactured from an electrically conductive material. The shut-off element is formed as a shut-off valve which is rotatable or pivotable in the flow passage and made of electrically conductive material.
