Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a method of drying textiles in a dryer (2), in particular a tumble-dryer or washing machine having dryer function, comprising: providing at least one drying program sequence; detecting the start humidity of laundry loaded into the dryer; and automatically modifying a drying cycle of the drying program in dependency of the detected humidity. A dryer comprises a control unit (12,13,14) adapted to control at least one program sequence, a control panel (8) for selecting the at least one program sequence by the user, and a sensor unit adapted to detect the humidity of the laundry loaded into the dryer. According to the invention, the control unit (4) is adapted to modify and control the at least one program sequence in dependency of the detected humidity.
