[origin: EP1852551A1] In apparatus for dewatering a fibrous sheet (1), in which the sheet, with air-permeable endless revolving belt(s) (2, 3, 4) on each side, is at least partially wrapped around a rotating, cylindrical pressing roller (5), the pressing roller is in the form of a blowing roller which directs an air blast against the sheet in the wrapped region.
