[origin: EP1852578A1] Sump pan (1) for an internal combustion engine with a crank mechanism and a crank housing is designed as a support having a first oil-containing side (3a) facing the crank mechanism and an opposite-lying second side (3b) in the form of a hollow body. Preferred Features: The sump pan is made of a cast iron material.
