Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1852579A1] An oil sump has a synthetic material (SM) sump body (1) sealed on its upper part by an SM butt plate (SMBP) (2) with peripheral seals (8,9) poured on two surfaces, so that closeness is guaranteed between the sump body and the engine block. On its bottom part, the SMBP extends through a tubular connecting piece that has filter netting on its free end and forms a segment in a suction pipe.
