The clamp has a clamping body receiving a pole of a battery in utilization position, and clamping jaws adjusted with respect to each other by locking a closure element and a lock nut (6) and attachable at the pole. The closure element runs in a direction lateral to the pole. A lever (2) is tiltably arranged at a rotation axle element that is essentially perpendicular to the axis of the closure element and receives the closure element such that a swiveling plane of the lever lies parallel to the axis of the closure element.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Batteriepolanschlussklemme mit einem einen Pol der Batterie in Gebrauchsstellung aufnehmenden Klemmkörper mit Klemmbacken, wobei die Klemmbacken durch ein Verschließen eines seitlich des Poles verlaufenden Verschlusselements und eines Gegenstückes aufeinander zu verstellbar sind und dadurch an dem Pol anklemmbar sind. Eine sichere Montage wird dadurch ermöglicht, dass ein Hebel schwenkbar um ein das Verschlusselement aufnehmendes, im wesentlichen senkrecht zur Achse des Verschlusselements angeordnetes Drehachsenelement angeordnet ist, derart, dass die Schwenkebene des Hebels im Wesentlichen parallel zur Achse des Verschlusselements liegt.
