[origin: WO2006092282A1] The invention relates to a hair styling device comprising a handle part (1), a part (2) for heating hair, and two metallic molded parts (3, 4) for styling, especially ironing, curling, or waving hair, said two metallic molded parts (3, 4) preferably being made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. The hair can be inserted between facing contact surfaces (5, 6) of the molded parts (3, 4) while the molded parts (3, 4) can be changed from an open to a closed state. In order to ensure particularly good sliding properties for hair, at least some areas of the contact surfaces (5, 6) are provided with an enamel.
