Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006074716A1] An inventive furniture drive for displacing parts of an item of furniture relative to one another comprises a drive element, which can linearly move along a linear axis of motion (6) and which serves to swivel a swivel shaft (8) that, when the furniture drive is in a mounted position, is actively connected to a part of the item of furniture to be displaced. According to the invention, the drive element is connected in the manner of a crank mechanism via a rod-like power transmission element (22) to the swivel shaft (8). One end of this power transmission element is connected to the drive element in an articulated manner, however without displacing in the longitudinal direction of the power transmission element (22), and the other end is connected in an articulated manner to a crank pin (24) of the swivel shaft (8). The position and distance of the coupling points (30, 32) of the power transmission element (22) on the drive element and on the swivel shaft (8) are selected in such a manner that the power transmission element (22), during the displacing movement, changes its angular position by more than 20°, preferably by more than 40°.
