[origin: WO2006087132A1] The invention relates to a pivotable sliding door, especially for railway vehicles, comprising a roller lever (1) which is disposed in the area of the lateral closing edge and engages into a guide rail (4) located on the door leaf (3) by means of a roller (2). In order to prevent an air gap from forming as a result of forces acting upon the door leaf in a transversal direction, the roller lever (1) can be moved along a given, preferably curved track to a position that is defined by a stop while being pivotable into a locked position in the stopped position. In said locked position, a locking element (7) located on the lever arm of the roller lever (1) which is at a distance from the door leaf engages into a blocking device that is fixed to the gate.
