[origin: WO2006091153A1] A reflector device includes a reflector casing (2) , the outside of which is made of reflective material (1) . The reflector casing is provided with a spring-loaded drum (3) on which a cord (7) may be wound up and off . A cord brake fixes the cord in extended position. A simple press of a button (6) releases the cord brake and the cord may then be wound up on the drum. On the other end of the drum there is a well-known clothing attachment device to attach the cord to an item of clothing or, for example, to a bag or similar item. The device thereby features a reflector which is attached to the carrier using a simple procedure and then pulled out to the required length.
