Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006092381A1] Disclosed is a withdrawable part for a low-voltage switchgear, comprising several contact mechanisms (12) for establishing a contact from the switchgear to a copper rail (14). Each contact mechanism (12) is provided with at least one respective contact finger (18) and a spring on both sides of a contact strip (22), said contact finger (18) and spring being retained in a cage. The fingers that are located across from each other form a mechanical unit in one half of the cage even without the contact strip, said fingers being stressed via the respectively associated spring. The fingers thus form a mechanical unit which can be moved as a whole along the contact strip from a disconnected position into an operating position and back once the two preassembled halves of the cage have been slid onto the contact strip. According to the invention, the contact strip tapers at the end thereof such that opposite fingers which are moved along the same swivel towards each other.
