[origin: WO2006092179A1] The invention relates to a heating device (8; 46; 74; 104), for an inductive cooking device with a first resonant circuit (32, 54), with at least one first and one second inductor (12, 14; 58, 60; 80, 82), for the transmission of heat energy to a heating element (4) for heating and a first circuit (24; 50) for energising the first resonant circuit (32, 54) and introduction of the heat energy to the inductors (12, 14; 58, 10 60; 80, 82). According to the invention, differing cooking containers may be effectively heated, whereby the heating device (8; 46; 74; 104) has a switching means (30; 62; 84, 86), by means of which the heating energy is selectively supplied to only one of the inductors (12; 58; 80, 82) or simultaneously to both inductors (12, 14; 58, 60; 80, 82) in a parallel circuit.
