[origin: EP1854533A1] A laboratory mechanical shaking assembly has a moving tray for a container holding a liquid sample. The tray lower surface engages via an interface with a cranked rotor arm having a mass balance at each end. The cranked arm rotates about a point that is off-center and separated from the tray center by a distance (74).
