Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006094787A1] The invention relates to a spool for receiving a wound skein product comprising a rotationally symmetrical body whose two axial ends are provided with flange discs (16, 18), which divide the spool into two parts (10, 12) by a substantially radial division surface and which have front surfaces (36, 38) adjacent to the division surface (14) and parallel thereto. Said pool parts are provided with locking projections (48, 50) on at least one face and with detent recesses (40, 42) which are arranged on at least the other face, interact with said locking projections of the other spool part (10, 12), respectively, and interlock therewith in the form of a bayonet catch by mutual rotation of the spool parts (10, 12). The invention is characterised in that the front surfaces (36, 38) are embodied in such a way that a separation line visible on the spool circumference is undulated.
