[origin: WO2006095337A2] A process, which comprises reacting melamine and cyanuric acid in an aqueous medium to form melamine cyanurate, removing the product slurry from the reaction vessel in the presence of a volatile base, spray drying said product slurry and collecting melamine cyanurate in the form of a dry powder. A method for granulating a powder of melamine cyanurate, and the product obtained therefrom are also provided.
