Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006091992A2] The invention relates to a mobile telephone (1) comprising a housing (2) consisting of a first housing part and a second housing part (3, 4) that are interconnected and can be displaced in relation to each other, an electronic unit (5), an electronic memory device (6), a display device (7), and an input unit (8) comprising a first input device (9) and a second separately arranged input device (10). Said mobile telephone (1) comprises two operating levels respectively having different ranges of functions. In a first operating level in a stand-by position, the first input device (9) limits the access to only some of the functions. In a second operating level, in an extended position, the second input device (10) authorises the access to all of the functions. In the stand-by position, inputted elements from the electronic telephone book are displayed on the display device (7) by means of the electronic unit (5).
