[origin: DE102006021599B3] The device has a supply device (6a) for supplying goods (5), and sheet webs (1, 2) arranged below and above the supply device, respectively. A separator holds the sheet webs, which are separated by cutting units apart for welding process, and is arranged at welding terminals (8, 9) of a welding device. The separator is movable together with the welding terminals, and has a drive (12) e.g. pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder, for changing a vertical position of a slider relative to the welding terminals.
