[origin: WO2006097413A1] The invention relates to an automatic retracing device (1) for a movable furniture element such as sliding doors (40), foldable doors and the similar comprising a modular unit (2) consisting of an energy storage (2a) which is prestressable when said movable furniture element (40) is opened and whose stored energy is used as assisting means in the case of moving into a final closing position and a slider displaceable in parallel with the movable furniture element (40), connected to the energy storage (2a) and comprising an actuator (2c) which is coupled with the movable furniture element (40) to a predefined opening position, is automatically deconnectable when said position is reached and locks the energy storage (2a) in said position. The inventive modular unit (2) is fixed in a housing (4) inside of which an adapter (3) connectable to the actuator (2c) of the modular unit (2) is longitudinally displaceable and is provided with a flexible coupling section for a drive (5) fixed to the movable furniture element (40).
