Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006032763A2] The invention relates to a flexible intraocular (IOL) implant injection cartridge. The inventive cartridge comprises: a tubular reception chamber (2) of oblong section, which is open at the rear and which is defined by a wall (3) having one part which is arranged to form a reception surface (3a) for a flexible intraocular implant that is introduced into the chamber; and an injection cannula (5) which extends from the chamber and which communicates with same by means of a cup-shaped compacting chamber (4). The invention is characterised in that the aforementioned wall (3) defining the proximal part of the reception chamber (2) is equipped with two longitudinal slits (6, 7), the midpoints of which are disposed in a plane (P-P) that cuts through the middle of the reception area or surface (3a).
