[origin: WO2006096955A1] The present invention relates to a vehicle for topical delivery of a pharmaceutically active ingredient such as anti-inflammatory drugs, comprising a liquid eutectic mixture containing a hydrophobic component. The eutectic mixture comprises, for example, compounds selected from camphor, menthol, thymol, resorcinol, phenol or substituted phenol derivatives. The invention also relates to a method for increasing the solubility of said pharmaceutically active ingredient.
