Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006092427A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection device provided with a particularly sound-insulating structure comprising at least one fuel injecting valve (1), a receiving bore (9) for positioning said valve (1) in a cylinder head (17) and a fuel distribution line (4) provided with a connecting piece (6) in which the fuel injection valve (1) is introduced in such a way that it partly covers said connecting piece. A connection body (18) is placed in the receiving bore (9) in such a way that the fuel injecting valve (1) is retained in the connection body (18), the fuel injecting valve (1) and the connection body (18) are arranged without abutment on all surfaces or walls of the receiving bore (9) of the cylinder head (17) which are not extending in an axially parallel direction to the fuel injection valve (1). The connection body (18) is directly applied to the connecting piece (6) of the fuel distribution line (4). The fuel injecting valve (1) is particularly suitable for use in fuel injection systems for mixture-compressing externally ignited internal combustion engines.
