Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006089743A2] The invention relates to a method for generating document processing jobs in a printing system, a method for sorting print jobs in a printing system, and a method for transmitting print jobs from a client to a printing system with a print server. According to a method for generating document processing jobs, control parameters are transferred from different sources to a control file (job ticket) according to predetermined priorities. According to a method for sorting print jobs in a printing system, the identification number that is generated chronologically for a group of lists which are to be monitored and in which files of a new print job are automatically retrieved is assigned to the print job in said lists which are to be monitored. The method for transmitting print jobs allows print jobs to be transmitted from a client to a high-performance printing system by means of the send to function.
