Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006097125A1] The invention relates to a device for adjusting the tension of a string of a stringed instrument, in particular a guitar, especially an electric guitar or a bass, especially electric bass, whose first end is fastened to a winding device (7) and whose second end is fastened to an additional fixing element. Said device comprises at least one motor (15), a gear (12) that is connected to said motor (15) and flexible shafts that are connected to said gear (12) for transferring a rotary displacement, generated by the combination of motor (15) and gear (12), to the winding device (7). There are fewer motors (15) situated in the device than strings on the stringed instrument. Said device enables the provision of a space-saving, compact drive for automatically adjusting the tension of the strings of the stringed instrument.
