[origin: WO2006097452A1] The invention relates to a magnetic actuating device comprising a reference element (1), an adjusting element (3) which is movably arranged between first and second end positions with respect to the reference element (1), wherein said reference (1) and/or adjusting (3) elements comprise a magnetisable material, a drive coil (2) for generating a magnetic field which moves the adjusting element (3) from the first to the second end position, a mechanical clamping device (4, 4') for producing a mechanical power which moves the adjusting element (3) from the second to the first end position. A fixing device (16) provided with a permanent magnet (6) for generating a holding force fixing the adjusting element (3) in the second end position with respect to the reference element (1). Said invention is characterised in that said fixing device (16) comprises a fixing unit (5) separated from the adjusting element (3) and provided with the permanent magnet (6).
