[origin: WO2006097164A1] The invention relates to a protective circuit breaker (1) which is used to protect an electric circuit, comprising an actuation element (8) and contact connections (3 6) which protrude from the housing (2,10), in addition to a contact spring (14) which is connected in an electrically conductive manner to a first contact connection (5) and can be in contact with the second contact connection (3) by covering the free end side thereof. Said protective circuit breaker (1) also comprises a slide (24) which is coupled to the actuation element (8), whereby the contact ends thereof (40, 41) are adjacent to the contact spring (14). The slider (24) is guided in a sliding manner in the housing (2,10) and the contact spring (14) impinges in the contact position counter to the returning force thereof and engages, preferably, in the on-position.
