In accordance with a predetermined switch state in the evaluation circuit (35) of the electrical controller (34), the locking section (8) can be moved back and forth by an electrical drive mechanism (14, 16, 18, 20), between unlocked and locked positions. During movement into the locking position, the locking section first enters an intermediate position, where it engages the locking recess. On further movement in the locking direction, the door of the appliance is moved closer to the body of the appliance. The locking section is fully accommodated in the body section in the casing, when in the opened position. In the fully-open and -closed positions, the locking section operates a microswitch (30, 32) breaking the circuit of the electrical drive. The motor (14) drives a spindle (18) with an external thread at the end facing the door. The locking section, of hook-like construction, is driven through a locking arm with a corresponding internal thread, to engage the locking recess. During movement of the locking section, the locking arm moves parallel to a plane occupied by the locked door. The recess includes a stop for the locking section, against which it rests in the intermediate position. Only in this position can the locking section be introduced into a longitudinal guide in the body of the appliance, parallel to the length of the spindle. The electric motor is a synchronous motor. The spindle can be uncoupled from the motor using an emergency disconnection mechanism (22) on the body of the appliance.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Türverriegelung für ein Haushaltsgerät mit einem in einem Korpus (2) angeordneten und durch eine Tür (4) verschließbaren Behandlungsraum (1), mit einer Schlossfalle (10) und mit einem Schließkloben (8), die an sich gegenüberliegenden Bauteilen des Korpus (2) und der Tür (4) des Haushaltsgeräts gehalten sind, wobei der Schließkloben (8) zwischen einer Schließlage, in der dieser mit der Schlossfalle (10) verriegelt und die Tür (4) im Wesentlichen dicht an dem Frontrahmen (5) des Korpus (2) oder einer daran angeordneten Türdichtung (5.1) anliegt, und einer Öffnungslage, in der die Tür (4) nicht verriegelt ist, hin und her bewegbar ist und wobei der Schließkloben (8) in einem außerhalb des Frontrahmens (5) angeordneten und als Gehäuse ausgebildeten Korpusteil (7) bewegbar gehalten ist, wobei der Korpusteil (7) bei geschlossener Tür (4) eine Randfläche (9) der Tür (4), an der die Schlossfalle angeordnet ist, zumindest teilweise überragt und der Schließkloben (8) bei der Überführung in die Schließlage durch eine der Randfläche (9) zugewandte Öffnung in dem Korpusteil (7) austritt und in die Schlossfalle (10) eingreift, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schließkloben (8) in Abhängigkeit des Vorliegens eines vorher festgelegten Schaltzustands in einer Auswerteschaltung (35) einer elektrischen Steuerung (34) des Haushaltsgeräts durch einen elektrischen Antrieb (14, 16, 18, 20) zwischen der Öffnungslage und der Schließlage hin und her bewegbar ist und dass der Schließkloben (8) bei der Überführung in die Schließlage zuerst in eine Zwischenlage überführt wird, in der der Schließkloben (8) mit der Schlossfalle (10) verriegelt, und bei der weiteren Überführung in die Schließlage die Tür (4) durch den mit der Schlossfalle (10) verriegelten Schließkloben (8) weiter in Richtung des Korpus (2) bewegt wird.
