Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1860840A2] The method involves introducing identification data (100) to be personalized into a safety module (300) of a telecommunication terminal (200) by a user, where the module does not contain network carrier specific data such as authentication algorithm, before introducing the data. The data is transferred to a trust center (400). The data is checked for correctness by the center. The data is presented to the user of the terminal. The data is introduced into the module by transferring the data via a Bluetooth or wireless local area network interface.
