Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006094854A1] The invention relates to a curtain application unit, with an application of two types of coating mediums, for example a colorant, from a medium supply device to the upper side of a displaceable path (w) in order to apply two coating medium layers to the path surface in order to form a two-layered curtain. The invention is characterised in that the medium supply device comprises a central lip (N1) which is arranged in the flow channels (11a, 12a) for both types of media, and a pointed part (N11) which protrudes from the pointed parts (N11) of both lateral lips (N2,N2), which are arranged in the external side of the flow channels (11a, 12a) for both types of media in the external side in the direction of the width of the path (w), and a convex medium separating agent (pb), which is adjacent to the pointed part (N11) of the central lip (N1) and which separates both types of the excess media, for example, a colorant, which is conveyed by the medium supply device.
