[origin: DE202006007599U1] The apparatus includes a peripheral device (30) containing the wetting agent preparatory unit connected to the printer (10), as well as a tempering device connected to the printed by a tempering agent circuit (48,58). Different structural units of the printer are connected to the tempering device through separate tempering agent circuits so that the temperatures can be controlled individually by the tempering device. The various different structural units can be the inking mechanism (12,14,16) or rollers (20,22). The peripheral device can comprise an energy supply unit as one functional unit used jointly by the wetting agent preparatory device and by the tempering device.
