The device for climatizing a room, with a cooling feed (22) and cooling return (25) connected by a pipeline with a first (15) and a second pipeline section (17), has a bypass pipeline (27) parallel to the first pipeline section and thermally decoupled from the room heat exchange surface (16), and also a three-way valve (20), to which one end of the bypass pipeline is connected. The second pipeline section is arranged downstream of the first pipeline section. The three-way valve is arranged upstream of the first pipeline section. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a device for climatizing a room, wherein during one operating phase the three-way valve allows cooling fluid to flow from the feed via the first and second pipeline sections to the return, and during an intermediate phase allows cooling fluid to flow from the feed via the bypass pipeline and second pipeline section to return.

Ein unter einer Raumdecke (1) aufgehängtes Deckenelement (2) weist einen über ein Kühlregulierventil (21) und ein Dreiwegventil (20) mit einem Kühlvorlauf (22) verbundenen ersten Leitungsabschnitt (15) auf, welcher durch Wärmeleitschienen (12a, 13a, 13b, 12b) läuft, die mit einer Raumaustauschfläche (16) an der Unterseite des Deckenelements (2) thermisch eng gekoppelt sind sowie einen stromabwärts anschliessenden zweiten Leitungsabschnitt (17), der durch mit einer Deckenaustauschfläche (18) thermisch eng gekoppelte wärmeleitschienen (14a,b) läuft. Während in Betriebsphasen der erste Leitungsabschnitt (15) und der zweite Leitungsabschnitt (17) nacheinander von Kühlflüssigkeit durchströmt werden, wird in Zwischenphasen zwecks Ermöglichung einer Vorkühlung der Raumdecke (1) bei Vermeidung einer Unterkühlung des Raumes durch Umstellen des Dreiwegventils (20) die Kühlflüssigkeit durch eine zum ersten Leitungsabschnitt (15) parallele Ueberbrückungsleitung (27) direkt an den zweiten Leitungsabschnitt (17) geleitet, sodass nur die Deckenaustauscnfläche (18) gekühlt wird.
