Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006100286A1] The invention relates to an electrohydraulic braking system comprising vehicle dynamics control. Said system comprises a brake master cylinder (1) that can be actuated by a brake pedal (41), said cylinder having at least one piston that is displaceably mounted in a housing (6) of the brake master cylinder (1). The piston, together with the housing (6), delimits a hydraulic pressure chamber (4, 5), which can be connected to a hydraulic fluid container (72) that is at atmospheric pressure via a hydraulic fluid container connection (30, 31) and a hydraulic fluid channel (22, 23; 60, 61) and connected to wheel brakes (75-78) via an outlet (32, 33). To control the vehicle dynamics, a hydraulic fluid transport unit (94, 95) transports hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic fluid container (72) to the wheel brakes (75, 76, 77, 78). To achieve a short response time for the vehicle dynamics, whilst at the same time obtaining a short free travel of the master brake cylinder, a bypass channel (34, 35; 52, 59)is provided between the hydraulic fluid container connection (30, 31) and the outlet (32, 33) of the brake master cylinder (1). According to the invention, the bypass channel (34, 35; 52, 59) is provided with a valve (37, 38), which permits the hydraulic fluid to flow from the hydraulic fluid container (72) to the hydraulic fluid transport unit (94, 95) via the bypass channel (34, 35; 52, 59) and prevents said fluid from flowing in the opposite direction.
