The invention also relates to a channel system that can be installed in the ground, comprising a first channel body according to aforementioned definition that serves as a first system element. A transition element serves as a second system element, which can be connected to the first channel body and which is designed in such a manner that it enables a conclusion of the channel system or, by connecting at least one other system element, an extension and/or a branching and/or a conclusion and/or a change in direction of the extension of the channel system.
