[origin: EP1696092A1] The handle has a monitoring or alarm module (1) that is arranged in a module housing. The alarm module has a set of sensors and an evaluation unit is provided for receiving alarm signals and detection signals. An impact sound sensor (15) is integrated in the module housing and is oriented towards a glass pane. The sound sensor detects sound frequencies resulting from broken glass and transmits an alarm signal to the evaluation unit.
