Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006077304A1] The invention relates to a portable appliance for detecting fluorescent particles which are visibly excited for the authentication of products. Said appliance comprises: an excitation light source (2) provided with at least one electroluminescent diode or a laser for producing a focused light beam; a housing (1) respectively containing the light source (2) and means for electrically feeding the same; and compact optical means which can be integrated into the housing (1) or not and enable the user to instantaneously visualise the fluorescence of the marked elements excited by means of the light source (2). The appliance is used as a field detector for authenticating and tracing products having a secret identifier formed by fluorescent particles.
