Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1864637A1] The wheelchair has an electric screw lifting jack (50) interposed between a rigid chassis (2) and a posterior stretcher (20) e.g. posterior crossbeam, or a lower siderail (35) that is not articulated on the chassis. The jack ensures an inclination adjustment of backrest`s posts (24, 25) by the displacement of the siderail (35) when upper siderails (14, 15) articulated on the chassis are supported against seat stops (52, 53). The jack permits an articulated structure to stand-up when an anterior stretcher e.g. anterior crossbeam, attains its maximum rotational position.
