Abstract (en)
The present invention refers to a method for removing scale from a heating element placed in a tub of a washing machine. The method according to the invention comprises the following steps: (a) turning on the heating element when the tub is empty until a predetermined temperature is reached; (b) flushing said heating element with water drained from the main water supply; (c) draining said water from the tub.
